| Over 300 guests will
enjoy the hits from the 50's and 60's played by the local Baltimore band,
New Monopoly. The Gala also features a live and silent auction with such items as a week in Paris and the Governor's Camden Yard Skybox. Cuisine will be diverse, reflecting Baltimore's wide ranging tastes with flavorful dishes, wines and cocktails donated by several popular restaurants. The mission of South Baltimore Learning Center is to improve the self-sufficiency of educationally disadvantaged adults. SBLC is a community -based nonprofit organization providing functional literacy and life skills training, in addition to career preparation services, to residents in the Baltimore Area. All proceed from the Gala benefit South Baltimore Learning Center. SBLC programs are partially supported by grant funding from Maryland Literacy Works and the U.S. Department of Education. |
