Cash Donations
SBLC is
looking for generous individuals and companies wishing to support its mission in
adult literacy through donations to the annual operating budget or to its
current capital campaign.
The annual operating budget supports the day-to-day operations of the organization and program. Grant funding covers less than 50 percent of the annual operating expenses. SBLC must raise the remaining funding each year.

United Way/Combined Charities Campaigns
You may also give to SBLC through the United Way Private Sector Campaign, the
Baltimore City Combined Charities Campaign, and the Maryland State Combined Charities Campaign. SBLC's designation
number
for all of these campaigns is 6520.
Donations may also be made to the Combined Federal Charities Campaign. SBLC's designation number for this campaign is 30147.
In-kind Donations
If you wish to make an in-kind donation to the center, a form must be filled out
upon delivery of the item.
The center is always looking for:
- pens
- pencils
- office supplies
- bookshelves
- laser printers
- books (dictionaries, thesauruses, children's books, or general interest novels--no textbooks)
- globes, maps, atlas (current versions)
Donations qualify as a charitable 501(c)(3) deduction for tax purposes.
