The mission of South Baltimore Learning Center is to improve the self-sufficiency of educationally disadvantaged adults.  SBLC is a community -based nonprofit organization providing functional literacy and life skills training, in addition  to career preparation services, to residents in the Baltimore Area.  All proceed from the Gala benefit South Baltimore Learning Center. SBLC programs are partially supported by grant funding from Maryland Literacy Works and the U.S. Department of Education.
